COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY
Hello, I’m Lottie, a Bristol-based therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy
If you find yourself at a tricky time in your life and are looking for some support, I can help.
I offer both short and long term therapy, either online or face-to-face at a discreet practice in central Bristol.
WHAT IS THERAPY?
Therapy offers you space to explore your thoughts and emotions. Through this process, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and find effective ways to tackle the challenges you encounter.
People are drawn to counselling and psychotherapy for various reasons. Perhaps you are facing difficulties in your relationships or grappling with intense emotions. It could be that you're finding it hard to cope with a recent event in your life, or you're feeling distressed without a clear understanding of why.
Therapy can help you to make sense of these experiences. Working alongside a skilled therapist can support you to find a way forward.
HOW I WORK WITH CLIENTS
Every client is unique, bringing with them a lifetime of experiences, beliefs and behaviours. Because of this, I take an integrative approach to therapy. This means that I combine different types of therapy according to what each client wants from their sessions. My core counselling and psychotherapy training is in person-centred, psychodynamic and Gestalt therapies, so you can expect our work together to draw on these approaches.
I am led by my clients, believing that you hold the keys to how change might best unfold for you.
My values include compassion, kindness, curiosity, honesty, respect and equality.
I am experienced in working with clients on a variety of issues, including:
ABUSE / ADHD / ANXIETY / AUTISM / BODY IMAGE ISSUES / DEPRESSION / EATING DISORDERS / EMOTIONAL LITERACY / FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS / IDENTITY / LOSS / MENOPAUSE / PANIC ATTACKS / PARENTING / PERINATAL MENTAL ILLNESS / SELF ESTEEM AND SELF WORTH / SELF HARM / SEXUALITY / STRESS / TRAUMA / WORK ISSUES
